Progress on the 800-ton Goliath Cranes for Fincantieri

Assembly and testing continue in Cimolai Technology HQ, while Chioggia prepares for the first lift

The construction of the two 800-ton Goliath cranes for Fincantieri is advancing at full speed. In Chioggia (Porto Val di Rio), preparations are underway for the first lifting of the lattice structure and crane legs, scheduled before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, at Cimolai Technology headquarters in Carmignano di Brenta, assembly and testing activities are ongoing on trolleys, carriages, winches, and electrical systems. This is the first crucial step before the final commissioning phase in Chioggia.

The project highlights the close coordination between the technical office and the production department — teamwork that makes the difference and brings satisfaction. Challenging projects are part of our DNA, and we are already looking forward to the next one.
