Ship lifting platform
Cimolift by Cimolai Technology is a high-performance ship lifting system featuring a robust platform operated by electrically powered winches, engineered for safe and efficient vertical handling of boats.

Ship lifting platform
CIMOLIFT: COMPACT, SAFE VESSEL LIFTING
Ideal for launching and hauling-out operations, Cimolift offers a space-saving alternative where traditional boat hoists or trolleys aren’t practical.
Fully customizable in lifting capacity and platform size, it adapts to a wide range of vessels—from pleasure boats to large yachts—and can be equipped with advanced controls and remote operation for greater precision and operator safety.
Built for long-term reliability with minimal environmental impact, Cimolift is available in electric configurations that combine sustainability with industrial-grade performance.

Ship Lifting Platform Key Features

STRUCTURE
100% manufactured in Cimolai Technology’s workshops in Italy, steel plates come exclusively from primary European Companies. The structure is designed as per the latest FEM and UNI EN standards and is made of box girders with inner stiffening elements, optimizing the structural resistance.
WINCHES
Available in different lifting capacities.
The electrically powered wire-rope
hoists are controlled in closed loop by
inverters - to guarantee synchronized
movements. They are 100% designed
and manufactured in CIMOLAI’s
workshops in Italy in compliance with the
Lloyd’s Register’s Rules and Regulation -
CLAME and are conceived for installation
in marine environments
PAINTING
High-performance anti-
corrosion coating for long-
term protection, suitable for
marine, aggressive, corrosive
environments and for structures
immersed in fresh and sea
water
MECHANICAL LOCKING SYSTEM
Activated from the control station, it is
installed on each winch allowing for the
locking of the platform in either working or
maintenance position and distributing the
loads directly on the mechanical blocks
Technical Specifications

- Remote assistance & diagnostics via LAN + GSM/Wi‑Fi
- Cimolai Technology control software, engineered for shipyard operations
Safety Systems & Maintenance
- Mechanical locking system on each platform to lock the platform in idle/working position and unload forces onto mechanical blocks
Structure & Support System
- Layout & capacity customized to customer needs (up to ~3,000 t class)
Platform design
- Winches: electrically powered wire-rope hoists with controlled speed, complete in-house manufacturing, designed for harsh marine environments
- High-performance anti-corrosion painting suitable for aggressive/corrosive marine conditions
Optional Features
- Support arms with adjustable saddles for hull support and stability
- Trestle to support different SWL and vessel dimensions (with adjustable lateral supports)
- End locking system to control/limit platform motion and support transfer phases
Optional
SUPPORT ARMS
Customizable and submersible lateral
supports that provide stability to the vessel’s
sides during the docking operations
performed on the platform.
TRESTLE
Designed to support different Safe Working
Loads. They are suitable for use with transfer
systems on rail or on tyres. The dimensions
can be customized according to customer’s
requirements and can be equipped.
END LOCKING SYSTEM
Activated from the control station, the system
ensures the correct alignment between the
platform rails and the rail installed on the
shipyard area, making it easier and safer to
move the loaded or unloaded transfer system
from the platform to the shipyard.
TRANSFER SYSTEM
Self-propelled modular transfer system on
tyres or on rails to meet customer’s
requirements and shipyard’s layout.
HAULING-IN SYSTEM
Itprovides longitudinal pull and lateral control by means of
trolleys on rail or a set of capstans. It is used to position the
vessel on the submerged platform and to control it while it
enters or leaves the ship lift basin so as to avoid any contact
with the piers.
