Goliath #1 Crane now Free‑standing at our Chioggia site

Goliath #1 Crane now free‑standing at our Chioggia site

The first of two 800‑ton Goliath cranes completes the transition from temporary towers to independent standing.

Work continues at full pace at our Chioggia site, where we have successfully completed a crucial phase in the assembly of our new heavy-lift infrastructure. Goliath #1, the first of two 800‑ton cranes, is now free‑standing after safely moving off the temporary support towers and reaching its independent configuration.

This step confirms the strength of the engineering design, the accuracy of on‑site planning, and the precision of execution required for complex lifting systems. With the crane now standing independently, the next activities will focus on installing the winches and the elevator system, further advancing the crane’s operational readiness.

In parallel, teams are already preparing the next large-scale operation on the project: lifting and positioning the main beam for Goliath #2. We will continue to share progress as work advances at the Chioggia site.
