A highly technical transit and embarkation sequence concludes without a hitch. Next step: unmooring and departure toward Fincantieri's Monfalcone shipyard.
The complex operations to move and load the Goliath crane have been successfully completed. After a meticulously planned sequence — the temporary opening of the customs gates, the controlled transit of the SPMT convoy through the customs boundary, and the tide-assisted embarkation supported by two Panfido tugboats — the crane is now safely secured onto Boa Barge 38.
Despite the technical difficulty of the maneuvers and the strict security and area-segregation requirements of the port and customs context, every phase ran smoothly, ensuring full traceability of operations and complete separation between operational and external areas.
The project now enters its final maritime stage: unmooring and departure from the Port of Chioggia, with the barge heading toward the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone.
