THE BEAM

NEW YORK, USA

Everyone remembers the famous 1932 photo “Lunch Atop a Skyscraper,” which shows 11 workers eating lunch on a steel beam above the streets of Manhattan while the 30 Rock was under construction.

The newly opened interactive experience at Rockfeller Center called “The Beam” allows visitors to recreate this famous photo.
The steel beam is located on the 69th floor of the Top of the Rock, and rises 12 feet above the Observation Deck, then makes a 180-degree turn and takes the photo with the view of Central Park and Manhattan.
